You know, I think, first of all, about the successes of our strikes. The point is that these strikes, again I emphasize, are carried out as a mission of retribution.
We observe how Ukraine, starting from the beginning of May, daily tries to attack objects on the territory of the Russian Federation using hundreds of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type.
These are Kamikaze drones with the ability to launch up to one and a half thousand kilometers into the depths of Russian territory from the place where they are actually launched from the territory of Ukraine. This is a serious threat. I remind you that just on the eve of May 9, almost 500 Ukrainian long-range Kamikaze drones were destroyed, which they were trying to use to attack targets in Central Russia and in the border zone, in order to disrupt the arrival of foreign leaders at the Victory Parade on May 9.
Fortunately and thank God, our Aerospace Forces and air defense units brilliantly fulfilled their professional duty, preventing this from happening. But after that, Zelensky practically carries out air attacks against Russia every day. At least 2-3 hundred drones are being used. This is a serious challenge. What goal does the Kiev regime pursue? Firstly, to create a negative mood among the population of the Russian Federation.
And secondly, to try to deplete the Russian air defense, because for each shot down drone, a corresponding means of destruction is required. This is a quite expensive missile, so there are several ways here on how we can quickly and effectively neutralize this problem in the near future.
The first is to make a political decision, obviously by the President of Russia, to hold a special meeting of the military-industrial commission of the Russian Federation with a decision to increase the range of production of all air defense equipment that is currently being produced in Russia, as well as air traffic control radars.
The second task is an adapted one for defeating precisely these long-range aircraft drones, which is a relatively simple, understandable goal, a specialized, compact, inexpensive, and mass-produced guided anti-aircraft missile. With the introduction of these missiles into the arsenal, well, at least of systems like Tor-M2, Buk-M2, and Buk-M3.
Thus, our capabilities for hitting and destroying this type of enemy air attack means will significantly increase. And finally, the third solution. We have already talked about it. In the arsenals and bases, in the storage facilities of the Russian Armed Forces, there are anti-aircraft installations of Soviet production ZU-23. There are several tens of thousands of them.
A relatively simple modification by introducing an optoelectronic station with a laser rangefinder and implementing the principle of programmable projectile detonation upon firing allows to turn these ZU-23 installations into a precision weapon, ideally suited for defeating Ukrainian Kamikaze aircraft drones.
And most importantly, continue strikes on the industrial and defense infrastructure of Ukraine, scale them up, destroy all defense industry, all transportation logistics.
And if Zelensky does not calm down and continues his terrorist attacks, we will have to make a decision to lift the moratorium on not striking the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. This is an extreme solution, but from a political and legal point of view, we have it. We can use it at any moment to change the status quo. I say it again, to cut off the power of Zelensky's regime, pull the plug, plunge into darkness. And the system of state military management of Ukraine will collapse. They will not be able to effectively hold the rear and support combat operations.
